Seven musicians from Soweto, South Africa make up BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness). We are in the (very good) hands of the Afro-psychedelic. They are powerful and unstoppable, we hear congas, the bass, the beats, drums and the sometimes sweet, sometimes powerful voices of the vocalists. Ancestral music is there to show us what it’s got but it’s being reinvented, gaining a clear and assumed influence of today's music. Both in the music and the lyrics we hear a reflection of contemporary Africa, of the voiceless. Of the social and the political but at the same of stories and everyday realities. As they say, they make music "for the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, with the PEOPLE".
